Cacapon Institute Applauds Shepherdstown Community Club for its Protection and Development of the Trees in Morgan’s Grove Park.

On behalf of Cacapon Institute’s board and staff, I want to convey what a pleasure, and privilege, it is to work with Shepherdstown Community Club.  We commend your efforts to protect and enhance the trees and tree canopy of Morgan Grove Park, and your civic service to Shepherdstown and Jefferson County.

Your work is improving local waters, keeping the Potomac safe for drinking, and helping to save the Bay.

Around the world, “dead zones” of water without sufficient oxygen to sustain life are growing but, the Chesapeake Bay Program  is succeeding in controlling the Bay’s dead zone.  Life is coming back!

We applaud Shepherdstown Community Club’s contribution to this unique scientific, political, civic, and social  triumph.
